The 70s trend is huge this season and we at Wallis is fully embracing the retro revival! Beautiful Audrey from Be Frassy walks us through her picks of our new season collection...
"As you know, I’m fascinated with fashion from the past. I’ve always fallen for the bohemian way, growing up in Spain, it was sort of ingrained in me from an early age. And in recent years, I weave in and out – always to return to my personal bohemian inspirations at some point for a little while or a long while, but always here or there."
The Wallis Premium Collections have landed! Spring Summer '15 at Wallis sees the re-emergence of key trends that underpin the brand's handwriting. Safari and utility, as well as the 70s are the coherent influences reinterpreted for the new season.
Hazy Days
Dusted pastels with accents of citrus tones lend themselves to the 70s inspired trend Hazy Days. Crepe jumpsuits offer a modern, minimal take on this trend, where romantic florals create a softer edge.
The safari trend is updated with Asian influences for our Frida collection. A palette of rich, earthy tones accented with bold orange and sun-bleached terracotta is inspired by nature but designed for summer in the city.
Moroccan Modern is a confident collection of striking pieces characterised by languid, relaxed styling for a fluid and sophisticated trend. Minimal pieces are brought to life with key stripe statements, cut outs and Moroccan patchworks.
Party season is well underway and we're taking inspiration from gorgeous Sarah Mikaela from Framboise Fashion. Here's how to wear the LBD in style this season...
"I always get really excited when party season arrives, but if there's one thing that makes me run straight back home after stepping out the door, it's because I'm freezing. That viking gene sadly never seemed to pass down on me, hence why I am happily wearing this sleeved LBD from Wallis. Such a beaut, and although I'm not the most flashy of people, the sequins are just the amount of sparkle I like."
This season sees the launch of our latest limited edition W Collection for Wallis. This exclusive premium collection joins simplicity with decoration centered around statement hues and textures.
Northern Lights
Focusing on a colour palette of nudes, greys and blues, this collection is centered on a delicate, feminine and minimal feel.
Skyline is all about the modern, after-dark look inspired by abstract city landscape and deep midnight skies. Light reflective sequins give contemporary glamour to this evening inspired range.
Event season is in full swing and Wallis has the perfect line-up of summer dresses and occasion wear to see you through the sunshine!
We've been inspired to share our pick of occasion pieces by the gorgeous Jody (a member of the Wallis family) who recently wore our Blue Lace Keyhole Dress to a day at the races.
Teamed with a glamorous fascinator and loose curls, this dress can be worn to any event or occasion!
Inspired by Jody's lace and blue look, we've selected our pick of the gorgeous occasion pieces Wallis has to offer. These items are beautiful additions to your wardrobe, ideal for weddings, summer garden parties, sporting events and dinners this season.
Lace continues to be a key trend for SS14 and this bright Blue Petite Embellished Dress is the perfect statement piece to add a pop of cobalt colour to your look. If you prefer more delicate colouring, our Stone Lace Keyhole Dress is ideal for creating an elegant and feminine silhouette.
A soft jacket is a timeless classic and a wardrobe multitasker. Perfect for events, office wear and even more casual looks, we love this Ivory Blazer. Pair it with a statement necklace like our Blue Crochet Flower Necklace for a burst of colour.
Finally, we're loving nude accessories for a chic and summer-y finish to your look. This Stone Bowler Bag, part of our premium Juno collection, is minimal and elegant in style. Last but not least, our Cream Caged Sandals are comfortable and supportive heels for those events that last all day (and night!)
Following the launch of our hotly anticipated W Collection, we invited 3 lovely fashion bloggers to Wallis HQ to show us how they would style up their hero pieces from the range...
The beautiful Tamara from theglamandglitter.com was the first to grace our studio floor. She selected our gorgeous white leather jacket as her top pick from the latest W Collection instalment, styling it up with a glamourous coral dress for an evening look, and giving things more of a casual spin with ripped denim.
"W collection consists of everything a trendy and confident woman should have in her SS14 wardrobe. It’s bold yet feminine, full of beautiful pink tones, prints and the ultimate white leather jacket for those chilly evenings. This capsule collection achieved something that many tried but failed- minimalism with a glamorous vibe. My hero item has to be the White Leather Jacket – I love it!"
The lovely Emma from ejstylefashionblog.com styled up these striking coral shorts. Her first look channels laid-back luxe, pairing them with our chic bomber whilst her second look reigns in this season's sophisticated pink and white colour palette.
"So my hero item is the coral shorts, they are so versatile, they can be dressed up for a night out, paired with a shirt for an office/work look or just worn with something simple like a bomber jacket and tee for a casual everyday outfit. I love the colour, coral is huge for this season and it looks amazing on any skin tone."
Finally, Red Magazine's Online Fashion and Beauty Editor, Marisa Bell settled on the beautiful coral blazer, choosing to keep things simple and chic to let this statement piece do the talking!
"A really versatile addition to the range, I’m loving W by Wallis. Perfect for spring, the brightly coloured separates are bang on trend and will instantly update your wardrobe for the warmer weather. My absolute hero buy, this super bright boyfriend-fit jacket is a real favourite and top of my new season shopping list. From adding a focus colour pop to all black looks to effortlessly smartening up a pair of boyfriend jeans, it comes complete with an immaculate cut and even better, a really accessible price point."

Burberry Prorsum SS14
Romance This was one of our favourite trends to emerge from London Fashion Week. The classic, ladylike look is sure to feature heavily in your wardrobe next spring. With high-waisted A-line skirts and matching blouses, this look is delicate and romantic.

Wallis sees the launch of its premium autumn/winter W collection. Monochrome and urban undertones are key; whilst chic tailoring and texture inject an element of city cool with a polished feminine look.
Senior designer, Sital Mehta tells us his main influences when starting the collection came from "architectural lines, city inspiration and minimal designers". This gorgeous leather biker jacket is his perfect 24/7 piece as it's "easy to wear, looks effortless and of course, works for day and evening".
Classic dressing at its easiest, the simple colour palette and chic lines make this a collection not to be missed. Each piece will take you effortlessly from day-to-night and can be mixed into your existing wardrobe to give you a fresh new look.
