We met with exciting new print designer Lollie Dunbar to find out the inspiration for her new capsule collection of scarves, maxi dresses, a palazzo trouser and a cropped kimono. We wanted to find out more about the aspiring print designer, her beautiful bespoke designs and where she'll be wearing her new collection this summer...
Where did you study design?
At Winchester School of Art.
Why did you choose to study print design?
I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a creative career but for most of my childhood I was focused on becoming a fashion designer. It wasn’t until I went to college to study art and design that I discovered textile design was a career in itself.
What was your inspiration for this collection?
I was really inspired by interior and homeware designs. Also a big source of inspiration for me came from objects such as Egyptian jewellery, Greek pottery and tribal tattoos.
What is your favourite piece from the collection?
That would have to be the scarves. I tend to wear a lot of dark colours so I love to accessorise with a colourful scarf or belt.
How would you sum up your personal style?
Classic in terms of cuts and colour. I wear lots of black so for me accessories are my way of bringing more personality to my look. I am definitely going to be adding more scarves to my wardrobe this summer.

Where in London inspires you?
Without a doubt the department store Liberty, I love the scarf hall. I also find the V&A museum really inspiring.
Where is your favourite place to shop?
It has to be London!
Where are you going on holiday this year?
Italy. I went to Verona and loved it so now I want to explore more of Italy such as Florence and Rome.
Where would you wear your collection?
I’m going to a wedding this summer so I’m planning on wearing the dress with the dippy hem. I can’t wait to wear one of my own designs!
Who can you see wearing your collection?
Anyone and everyone. My mum’s got her eye on one of the dresses and my friends want the scarves so I think the collection is very versatile and can be worn by all ages.

What your favourite colour?
Orange, orange is fun!
Sum up your collection in 3 words?
Fun, Chic, Versatile
What was the last thing you splurged on?
A Jonathan Saunders scarf form Liberty. Blue with a red geometric print on top, I absolutely love it!
If you had to save 4 items from your wardrobe what would they be?
My tan leather satchel, the blazer I team with every outfit, new Jonathan Saunders scarf and of course one of my own Wallis designs!
…Oh and I’d have to save my heeled wedges as well.
If you weren’t a designer what would be your plan B?
I think I’d quite like to be a journalist for a big fashion magazine. That way I will still be doing something creative.
What is your hero piece form this season?
Some really nice leather wedges, I’ve got my eye on a gorgeous suede Gucci pair.
If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would you be?
Italy for the culture and architecture – it’s such a beautiful and inspiring place.
And finally, what’s the one thing you can’t live without?
Definitely my iPad. I use it for everything!
It was great to meet with Lollie and find out more about her! We can't wait to get our hands on her new collection - the perfect summer pieces!
