Dressmedaisy.com contributing editor Laura Terry talks us through this seasons hottest party dress trends.
If the cold weather and random bouts of flu are getting you down this winter, we have just the thing to cheer you up this festive season- lots and lots of party dresses.
With Christmas and New Year just around the corner it would be rude not to debut a new outfit for every party occasion wouldn’t it?!
This season is all about being glamorous, so go all out with your look. You wouldn’t catch
Eva Mendes or Sarah Jessica Parker looking anything less than fabulous on the red carpet, so use them as your inspiration.
If you’re struggling to know where to find the perfect outfit, we’ve made it easy for you with our amazing range of party dresses to suit every style and shape.
Here’s our top five fashion looks to sport this Christmas...
Micro Mini: Dare to bare this season and you won’t be left out in the cold with the fashion pack. This simple long sleeved camel shift can easily be dressed up or down for any occasion. Team with a mass of necklaces and lace tights to really make the most of this stunner.
Floral: Who says florals are only for spring? We’ve re-written the style rules this season with some winter pansies in classy black and white. Monochrome is always a hit and this stylish Audrey Hepburn-esque dress is just crying out for some skyscraper heels and a show stopping necklace.
Sequins: When all else fails a sequinned dress is sure to be a knockout and our Boutique exclusive sparkly number will certainly turn heads. Team with opaque tights and chandelier earrings, but remember to keep it simple- this dress is designed to stand out!
Velvet: If you thought velvet was just a flash in the fashion pan, then how wrong you were! This is a big look for AW10 and thankfully styling has moved on since the dodgy 80s crushed velvet dresses. This lovely maxi (it comes in a shorter version too) complete with floral shoulder detail looks Oscar worthy we think!
Asymmetric: Long and flowy or short and chic, this is a timeless style that will always look elegant and tasteful. Kate Winslet showed how to rock the maxi look at the Oscars last year, so why not channel her style in this gorgeous asymmetric black dress? Team with lots of jewels and prepare to sparkle this Christmas.
