With 2009 firmly behind us and 2010 ripe for the grabbing - there's never been a better excuse to give your wardrobe a pre-spring clean. No need to wait for the weather to warm up - pre-Spring cleans are less about swapping faux-fur for flip flops and more about adding a bit of spice to your wardrobe. So, no matter what temperatures we're subjected to - at least your March wardrobe's set to be a scorcher!
Designer Look Draping
Fold up those knits and cast away those cardis because winter wear is officially out and draped tops are back with a vengeance. Be it pleated, folded, cinched or ruffled, draping was all over the SS10 catwalks and Wallis is awash with fab high street alternatives. Part Grecian, part nu-boho and a whole lot of romantic, we love spring's sugar-sweet shades. Teamed with opaque tights and heels for now and sandals, armlets and tanned belts come high summer, there really is no better time to ruffle up. Hey, if it's good enough for Kate Bosworth, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chloe Sevigny…
Hot Hues
Nothing sets a wardrobe palette alight quite like a healthy shot of colour - so you can forget your blacks, tiresome taupes and simple greys and inject a bit of fun into your wardrobe. From purples that pop and bright turquoises - the spring catwalks were awash with gorgeous frocks, tops and jackets that'll refresh your look in one easy shop. Whether you opt to colour clash or simply add a bright bag, colourings never been so in.
Monochrome
A firm favourite amongst the fashion elite and a safe bet for those who stay away from a hot hue or two, you can't go wrong with a slice of monochrome. With more than a nod towards Coco Chanel, be it a box jacket, a LBD or a striped top - a bit of black and white's the peak of chic. Just add a pearl necklace, slick of red lippie or a cameo brooch to yours to instantly up those style credentials.
Et voila! A new season smile to go with your new season style!

I really enjoyed this post, especially the “examples in this post” portion which made it really easy for me to SEE what you were talking about without even having to leave the article. Thanks
